ABOUT ME
Hello, my name is Shourjo Majumder and I am an undeclared business student at the University of Texas at Austin. When the time comes around, I will be declaring as a finance major. I’ve grown up in Austin for most of my life, and I went to a public high school in west Austin called Vandegrift High School. My interests are mountaineering, sailing, skiing, running, and playing guitar.
ABOUT THIS WEBSITE
In high school I ran the stock trading club with two other friends. We ran a paper-traded portfolio with around 40 people through the Interactive Brokers platform, and this website accompanied that portfolio as the club's site. When my friends and I left high school, the club closed.
This past summer I started updating the website as a passion project. I developed more advanced accounting skills and learned the framework behind DCF valuations, along with Claude-based JavaScript and HTML. This website has ultimately become a way for me to continue the enjoyment I felt from the club as well as for my practice.
- 09 Sep 2026New graphs on the home and performance pages. They show the full daily price history instead of a straight line from entry to today.
- 09 Sep 2026Made the graphs zoomable. Pinch or scroll to zoom in on a period, swipe sideways to move along it.
- 08 Sep 2026Made the site searchable on Google. Added titles, descriptions and a sitemap, and submitted the site to Search Console.
- 08 Sep 2026Set the R graphs to rebuild on their own. A scheduled job now pulls live prices and redraws both charts after each market close.
- 03 Sep 2026Coded the contribution and allocation graphs on the performance metrics page in R, learned in my STA 301 class.
